Record-breaking book event at Auburn High yesterday!

Written By: David T. Lee - Dec• 16•18

Yesterday, we had our last event of the year at Auburn’s Annual Holiday Craft Fair! The fair was one of the largest we’ve gone to, spanning multiple floors across Auburn High School. We were glad to be in an area with good foot traffic. Many families visited our table and got signed copies of our books. We sold a record of 36 books (fantastic for a one-day event!). As this was our first event in Auburn, we were surprised some families already knew about us. We also made friends with Willow – a 5 week old dog. Although she was a small dog, her enthusiasm was off the charts.

The Auburn event capped off an especially successful salvo of events this month (two weeks ago, we were at the Holly Fair, one of the largest holiday shopping fairs in Shrewsbury). This year was our busiest on record: we dared to get out of our comfort zone and took events in several new towns. Not only did we get our books in physical bookstores for the first time, we also forged new connections and made strong friendships. We hope to build on our success this year in order to make 2019 even better.

Writing updates: I’m near the 25,000 word milestone for my work-in-progress “2653”. Laura’s third book “The Dark Trials”, which concludes her Two Worlds series, is set to come out very soon. Stay tuned for more!

Happy Holidays,
