Sunday, September 23rd, Laura and I sold books at the Asa Waters Fall Festival! We’ve had quite a bit of success in Millbury this year (like Enchanted Passage and the Blackstone Valley Barnes and Noble), and this Fall Festival was no exception! From 10-4, we met new customers and made new friends while celebrating our fall spirit! There were many entertaining features at the festival, from numerous local performances to magic shows! I also did a bit of sightseeing inside the mansion itself and learned a few history lessons about its owners! Asa Waters owned a gun factory and was commissioned by the government to produce weapons for the army. Some of the weapons that he produced were on display, providing an insight into the US army’s past.
Be sure to stop by for one of our biggest events of the year this Saturday, September 29th at the Spirit of Shrewsbury Fall Festival from 10-4 outside Oak Middle School!
Here are some photos:
Until next time,
David:)
