Fantastic Young Musicians Summer Concert at Shrewsbury Public Library!

Last Saturday, four young musicians (including myself) played songs from a varying repertoire at Shrewsbury Public Library! Video and photos are enclosed. I was also MC of the concert. Classical pieces like “Tarantella” and the modern “Phantom of the Opera” were all part of the program! The turnout was unexpectedly good; very few empty seats during the concert. During the concert, a small busload of residents from a senior center entered midway through. We decided to restart the current song (“Thais Meditation” by Jules Massenet) for the newcomers. Also, at the end, my sister and I did several encore performances for a group of latecomers.

Special thanks to Priya Rathnam (Assistant Director of the library) and Daniel Barbour (YA Librarian) as they helped make this concert happen. We hope to be “Bach” in the winter to share the joy of music with more performers!
