“Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School” shows flimsy storyline and lacks good humor

Howdy everyone!

Recently, I read the newest installment in the acclaimed Wimpy Kid series (titled “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School)! In the cartoon-filled novel, Greg Heffley (the main character) has to go “old school” after his town starts a ban on all electronics. Although the cartoons are cute and hilarious, the jokes lack the depth that the earlier books excelled at. The plot is like a roller coaster, swinging between topics and weakening the main storyline. My initial excitement and anticipation dulled significantly towards the end of the book. I wouldn’t recommend this to a friend.

Have a great day!
