I did a good job selling my books at the Summer Reading Kickoff Carnival!

What’s up, people?

Two days ago I sold 9 books at the Summer Reading Kickoff Carnival at a public library! I sold 5 copies of my book Danny and the Portal of the World and 4 copies of Danny and the Trip to Outer Space and I got some more subscribers! This has been my 2nd selling event so far and it was a success!

For two hours, I talked to people, presented books, and inspired kids to write. I also did a ton of autographs and the people enjoyed what I had to say. In addition, I used presentation materials I demonstrated for the Geek the Library 2011 event at the same library. Two photographers from different community newspapers took pictures of me while I was presenting my books. My dad took a picture of me with popular author April Jones Prince, who was signing copies of her new children book Dig In!

The author event lasted from 4:00-6:00PM and I did play some games at the young adult section afterwards. I had a wonderful time!

I would give my thanks to Sharon Martin, Dan Barbour and George Brown for helping me for this author event. I was lucky to participate as I was already too late to sign up for the event.

Here are some photos of the event:
