Main Characters:

Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, the sea god.
Grover Underwood, related to Pan, the wilderness god. Percy’s best friend and satyr.
Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, Percy’s other friend, daughter to Dr. Chase.
Luke, son of Hermes and tries to bring Kronos to life.
Tyson, Brother Cyclops to Percy, son of Poseidon.

The story starts as a nightmare Percy Jackson is having about his friend Grover. A very dark figure is chasing him in the middle of the night in an empty courtyard filled with shops. It is also a stormy night. Percy is seeing it from a close distance, but his voice doesn’t work in the dream, so he can’t stop the monster. Grover runs in a bridal boutique store and the dark figure finds him in a flash of lighting that shatters the front of the store.

Plot Summary:

The story starts when Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, has a nightmare about his satyr friend, Grover. He dreams that a monster of some kind is chasing Grover. The monster is chasing him through a courtyard full of shops. Percy’s dream becomes even more vivid when later in the day; he is attacked by cannibal monsters while playing dodge ball in his school. The gymnasium becomes badly damaged. Percy’s new friend, Tyson, saves him several times by grabbing two of the bronze balls thrown by two of the monsters, and threw them back at the monsters and destroying them. They escape and when they reach their camp, they find out that the camp is being attacked by bronze bulls. When the bulls are taken over by the campers, Percy notices that the power of Thalia’s magical tree that once protected the camp is oozing away. Percy immediately puts Luke as a suspect. Surprisingly, Percy finds out that the activities director, a centaur named Chiron, has been accused for poisoning Thalia’s tree. He speaks to Chiron and the centaur claims he had not poisoned the tree.

On the next night, Percy is assigned by Hermes, along with Annabeth and Tyson, on a mission to be the people who would save Camp Half-Blood. He hands Percy a thermos and a box of multivitamins. He also gives Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson a duffel bag for the trip. They stow away on Luke’s ship, The Princess Andromeda, and they set off. They question Luke and he admits to poisoning Thalia’s tree, but he claims he did it for the greater good. He then says that the Golden Fleece that could heal everything would bring Kronos to life by tenfold. Meanwhile, they are attacked by arrows and evacuate. They are rescued by Clarisse on Virginia Beach and they join up with her and set off once more for the Golden Fleece. While the team is on their journey, Percy keeps dreaming about his friend Grover. He dreams that a Cyclops named Polythemus has trapped him by using the Fleece. Even worse, he thinks Grover is a lady Cyclops and wants to marry him.

When their transportations explodes and the team is separated, and after Percy and Annabeth sail away on the Queen Anne’s Revenge, Percy’s nautical skills at sea bring them to their destination, 30 degrees, 31 minutes north, 75 degrees, 12 minutes west, or otherwise, Polythemus’ island. There is good news and bad news. Good news: they found the rest of the team. Bad news: Clarisse is getting married to Polythemus and Grover is the wedding food. They escape but unfortunately, their ship sinks. Fortunately, they had got the Golden Fleece and got enough money to buy Clarisse an air ticket to transport the Fleece to Camp Half-Blood, and Percy and his friends stow aboard The Princess Andromeda and they are confronted by Luke again. This time, Percy confronts Luke by sending an Iris-message to Camp Half-Blood so Dionysus, the director, can see it all happen.

Percy and his friends are then transported by the centaurs to Camp Half-Blood and they save the day. They are happy to have the camp back to normal. Later, Percy shouts that being with Tyson, his brother Cyclops, made everything possible. But the mystery continues when the next morning, the whole camp finds a demigod, unconscious. Percy speaks to her and she says: “I am Thalia, daughter of Zeus.”
