Books, clowns, parades and more at the Spirit of Shrewsbury weekend!

Written By: David T. Lee - Oct• 06•17

Recently, I had an exhilarating and exciting weekend at the Spirit of Shrewsbury (September 23-24)! On Saturday, Laura and I debuted our new books (Laura wrote “The Risen” and I wrote “Danny and the Wrath of the Dinosaurs”) at the Spirit of Shrewsbury Craft Fair! Although sales were a bit slow (7 books in total), we still had a great time meeting familiar friends, talking to new visitors and eating pizza! One of our customers stated that he wrote tons of essays in college, but was still impressed with our writing!

On Sunday, I participated in the Spirit of Shrewsbury Parade as part of the Shrewsbury High School Speech and Debate Team! We dressed up like clowns and walked from Beal School to Oak Middle School. Although the sun shone directly on us the whole time, I still had a cheerful time clowning around with my friends.

Here are the photos.

Have a great weekend!
