I performed spectacular stand-up comedy at Oak’s Got Talent!

Written By: David T. Lee - Apr• 11•16

Greetings earthlings!

Last Saturday night, Oak Middle School hosted the 4th annual Oak’s Got Talent! It lasted from 7-9:30PM. Lively, entertaining performers rocked the stage with acts like singing, dance, magic and comedy. Highlights of the show included a quartet of Chinese girls dancing to Adele’s “Hello”, an autistic boy named Jagger Lavely singing “Let It Go” from “Frozen” and a gymnast flipping to the tune of “Eye of the Tiger”.

I performed stand-up comedy in the form of a Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential debate skit. Even though I had no stage fright, I worried that my candidate voice impressions would make the jokes hard to hear. Any doubts that my jokes wouldn’t be funny enough were erased as the crowd howled with laughter throughout my skit. I triumphantly exited the stage as the audience gave deafening applause. During transmission, many of my friends, classmates and audience members (including my sister) came to congratulate me on my hilarious performance.

I would like to give a shout-out to Ann Tomashefsky for directing this amazing show!

For the whole script of my skit plus the entire performance video of the Donald Trump versus Hillary Clinton presidential debate, refer to my next post.

Please enjoy a video montage of the whole event and some pictures.

Thanks!
David:)
